Using the Argonne BG/L system

Job resource manager tutorial Basic tutorial on how to write and submit job scripts, how the job resource manager is used on BGL, etc.. Includes examples of scripts, submissions, and commands that can be used to query the status of the queue and jobs. Examples.
Running and Querying Jobs Using the job resource manager on BGL. How to submit and query jobs. Provides examples of submissions commands that can be used to query the status of the queue, jobs and reservations.
Application Documentation Intended to be used as reference documents, this collection includes third-party application user guides, links to other on-line references and how to use the applications on BGL. Some of those pages are accessible directly from this page as well.
New User's Guide Intended to help new users get started using BGL, the Argonne BG/L system. It provides basic information on how to get an account, log on, set up your environment, everything you need to know from the beginning up through how run your first job.
Now that IBM is maintaining openly available BlueGene redbooks, we no longer provide local copies. Instead, we've provided a link on the left that should search the IBM redbooks site for 'Blue Gene' and also a link to the main IBM Redbook page where you can see a list of the latest books and search for other RedBooks. The last time we did the search the following books were available:

IBM Guide to PAPI on BG/L Information on the bgl_perfctr low-lewel API, the PAPI implementation for BG/L using the bgl_perfctr interface and examples of the APIs.,etc. This document is restricted to ANL-only access.

About Accounts An overview of BGL accounts, including account policies such as who may have an account.
MCS Accounts Page Main MCS account page, from here you can make changes to your account, access your project information, etc. You will need to log on with your MCS username and password.
Request a BGL account Use the form on this page to request a new BGL account. You will be requesting an MCS account, select the BGL resource on the resources page.
