[bgl-discuss] PAPI problem

I've been trying to use PAPI on BGL, but been running into some issues. 
I'm trying to run papi through the SvPablo source instrumentation tool, 
but I'm experiencing various errors. I'm having problems getting a fixed 
reproducible error, as the program crashes with seg faults at different 
points related to PAPI, but also at the end of execution after calling 
exit. The first place it crash is within the PAPI_library_init function.

Has anyone got any insights to what might be going wrong? Any important 
issues to remember when running with papi on BG/L?
