Hi
a student of mine has over the past weeks worked on a qstat GUI interface for cobalts qstat. We have made available a prototype of this application. In case you like to give us feedback, and feature requests, please send e-mail to gregor@xxxxxxxxxxx and cgrubbs@xxxxxxxxxxx with the subject line "COBALT QSTAT". The link to the install and a screenshoot is at

    http://wiki.cogkit.org/index.php/Java_CoG_Kit_Qstat

We have removed the usernames from the screenshoot.

In order to make it run for you you need to first go into Options and fill out the necessary authentication information that is based on ssh. You can save that information into a profile that can be used next time. However, we are not storing the passphrase so you need to authenticate once you restart the component.

If you find this component useful send us an e-mail.

Gregor

Features not yet implemented:
* the selective monitoring of only the check marked jobs
* sorting of the columns
* resizing column width between updates.
* default host name to be bgl.mcs.anl.gov
* upon starting the component making the options window the default.
