[bgl-discuss] Significant Expansion of Blue Gene Capabilities at Argonne Leadership Computing Facility

The Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) has recently announced a significant expansion of its computing and resource capabilities.

ALCF will be adding two Blue Gene / P systems (a 111 teraflop system and a 13.9 teraflop system) to its existing Blue Gene / L system (5.7 teraflop) in order to support advanced scientific and engineering research efforts.

Allocations on the ALCF BG/P 111 teraflop system, known as Endeavour, will be primarily via The Department of Energy's INCITE Program. We strongly encourage those who are interested to submit a DOE INCITE proposal by August 8th for consideration.
