[bgl-discuss] Determining ION IP addresses

Does anyone know of a way to determine the IP address of a given  
compute node's ION from within a BG/L job?  Or, does anyone know of  
an alternative to gethostbyname() on BG/L?  Since uname returns the  
ION nodename, I was hoping I could do gethostbyname() on that, but it  
appears that gethostbyname() doesn't work on the CN.
